I purchased this product (the chrome version) with high expectations. I have been on a personal grooming kick, and wanted to treat myself to a nice razor handle (I have a ton of Mach 3 razors I need to use).
When I opened the package, I was disgusted. It felt lighter than a feather (lighter than the original handle), the "chrome" looked like it was painted on, and the joint where the handle meets the razor fastener was completely lopsided.
I returned it immediately. I wouldn't use this if they gave it to me for free, the fact that I paid $70 for it drove me into a near-rage.
Do yourself a favor and skip this. Merkur really should stop manufacturing and selling this trash.
Note: Sesto-Senso, the company that sold me this piece of junk, gave me some resistance about returning it. They finally accepted it when I told them it was defective (which it was). I would not buy from them again.
